Fred really went out of his way to provide great services that I owe it to him for writing this review. We have been searching for a place for a couple of years but with no luck. We didn’t plan on working to Fred but stumbled upon him in September 2019; Fred represented us for the purchase of a home in Morgan Hill, less than a week later our offer was accepted and shortly after that the deal was closed!
That wasn’t the end of his service. Many of the double paneled windows at this property were leaking gas insulation and fogging up. Fred took on it to call the manufacturer and had them honor the lifetime warranty for us. It took him a few calls and he had all 5 (if I remember correctly) of them replaced at no cost to us.

He continued to stay in touch and has been just 1 phone call away. Indeed, he was. I needed to clarify some official property line on another property and Fred came to the rescue. Within a few hours after my phone call to him, Fred met me at the property and helped point me in the right direction. To be clear, this property was not intended for sale anytime soon. Fred was helping me without the intention of representing this in any deal.

"We were looking for a fairly large property, (hopefully with a small house on it) in central California. We had been looking for a couple of months on a variety of sites, and making occasional inquiries about properties. We were new arrivals in America from China, 6 months. We didn't know area or how to buy a house but we did know how much space we needed and not wanting to commute more than 30 minutes. Fred showed us 20+ houses in five areas educating us along the way. During that time we had trouble getting a loan because we had not have enough credit history. Fred suggested we requisition our credit history from Finland where we had worked and lived for 10 years; we got a loan, but it was not enough. So Fred asked us if we had stock rights, we did, and they were coming due. Fred convinced the lender to procure an equity loan to be consummated at close of escrow. But we were still short. So Fred arranged for a hard money loan, which we will pay off in 45 days from the stock rights. We would still be renting if it weren't for Fred making it happen for us."

Working with Fred Altomare was a simple decision of YES. I had heard by word of mouth that he is a very good, personable, realistic, and down-to-earth individual with real estate itself - from country to suburban to city living sites. Myself, being a newly divorced mother of two, Fred took my needs as well as my young kids and dog into consideration with my searches. He was as active in my search as I needed him to be and listened when I had numerous questions as well as being very patient with them all, big ones and small. When viewing properties (and there were several), he was very diligent in all of the nooks and crannies from door handles to window sill cracks, potential mold, floor boards, lighting, wear, and tear, etc. Fred had what seemed wonderful rapport with the listing agents and was able to get me in to see houses on my schedule. When asked for (in the beginning, because pre-approval is key to this whole process), he gave me a few financial referrals that he thought would be a good fit with my financial situation - this made a lot of the research on my end much less of what could have been a personal headache for myself.
His overall knowledge of the closing documents and procedures and review was very helpful, and whenever I had a question, he had a very detailed and understandable answer. Fred is also very knowledgeable with connections to outside sources as far as interior additions, ie blinds, carpet installers, garage door replacement, painters, etc. Connecting with a service on a personal referral basis is much easier than taking a chance on an internet search. It was overall fun, emotional and exciting experience and I will definitely use Fred again when the time comes to sell or purchase.

We were able to work with Fred when we entered the home search. It was a little unexpected as we were at the airport, about to leave San Jose, when we found the listing and hit the contact agent button. Unbelievably, we received a call back within 10 minutes and an appointment to see the home was established before we boarded. From then on, a potentially daunting experience went very smoothly. We originally met Fred when we were considering buying a second home in Morgan Hill, but we were so impressed with him that a few months later we decided to use him to sell our apartment in Santana Row. Based on our experience I can say that Fred is a professional with a real attention to detail and a high commitment to customer service, who really cares and will always do the right thing. We teamed with Fred to find our dream property in Morgan Hill. Fred listened to our requirements and very quickly came with a list of properties that met our criteria. We finally settled on a lake front property with amazing views across Chesbro reservoir. The property was pretty complex from a buying perspective as it contained multiple dwellings and also had its own water supply and septic systems, all of which had to b carefully inspected as the seller had elected not to have any inspections done. Fred corralled a great team of inspectors to work with us and kept us updated daily on the progress. Fred followed up closely with each inspector to know exactly what the findings were and what the impact would be to us. An example was the property report which contained a minor reference to “wear on the roof” Based on this Fred ordered multiple roofing specialist inspections which gave us the full visibility into the conditions of the roofs on the property (All needed replaced). Based on these inspection reports Fred negotiated the closing of the deal to a satisfactory conclusion for both the buyer and the seller. If felt as if Fred was buying this house using his own money, for himself to stay in, such was his diligence in making sure everything was right. Fred appears to work 24/7 because every email we wrote was responded to very quickly. Fred was also very sensitive to my preferences of only using email and not calling, which I really appreciated. “Sadly” I think we have found our dream property, so we may not get the chance to work with Fred again in the near term, but we will for sure be recommending them to any of our friends needing real estate services of the highest caliber.

Fred was absolutely fabulous! We did not know anybody in the area when we moved here and we found Fred online. He held our hands from start to finish in the process and we felt very well taken care of. Fred was always immediately available via text and email – even when he was out with a kidney stone!
